Hong Kong – 13 March 2017 WHIZPA.COM, an innovative internet start-up on education in Hong Kong will help make it easier for parents to search, choose and purchase after school activities for their children all on ONE platform. The company, together with its sponsor partners*, are offering backers to be part of this exciting platform which aim to benefit parents and children in Hong Kong. Not only that, backers will also get to choose from a variety of activity classes for their children and products in the first round of fundraising through Next Chapter, an Asia based crowdfunding platform aimed at supporting women-led businesses.

“We aim to be the official word of mouth guide for education in Hong Kong. Finding activities for children should be simple, easy and stress-free. Get the inside scoop and find out what activities are recommended by parents in your community,” says founder of WHIZPA.COM, Jennifer Chin, a former banker and parent of three children in Hong Kong.  “The website functions as a search engine. Type in the activity and location you are looking for. The full list of relevant providers will pop up. Within each listing, read reviews, ratings and rankings by parents who have used them. Purchase classes online without hassle.”

From a recent survey, it is found that 85% of parents rely on recommendations by other parents when finding activities for their children. About 75% of parents found it difficult to compare the same service or product offered by the various education providers. WHIZPA.COM aims to solve this and help parents make a more informed decision when choosing different activities for their children by consolidating the “word of mouth” by parents out there and sharing them on a platform that is easy to use and free for all.

Nicole Denholder, founder of crowdfunding platform Next Chapter, is highly supportive of the project. “It’s been an amazing experience to work with Jennifer and her team.  Their personal experience and research in building Whizpa will make life easier for HK parents and get children into the right activity first time round.”
