Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (“HKSTPC”) has announced the official opening of Hong Kong SciencePark Phase 3. The Corporation has introduced ground-breaking green design ideas into the project from design to build, with the aim to attract and gather technology talents, bolster the development of innovation and technology, and propel entrepreneurial spirit and culture to new heights. With the advanced R&D facilities of Phase 3 coming into use, and its full-service Incubation Programmes and extensive networks of worldwide investors and business partners, HKSTPC is committed to supporting talents from different technology sectors to realise their passion and entrepreneurial dreams, and enabling our community to enjoy the unlimited benefits brought about by such innovations.
Hong Kong Science Park Phase 3 is a “living laboratory” where the buildings are designed on sustainability principles and make use of three key design principles of reduction, efficiency and generation to encourage smarter use of resources and a greener lifestyle at workplace. The Phase 3 master plan received the the Grant Award in the New Building Category for Green Buildings 2012. Phase 3 Building 12W has also been awarded the LEED Platinum (Core and Shell) by US Green Building Council in 2014.
The Green Trail walks you through 17 selected green building design features in Phase 3. Along the way, you can enjoy the tranquil landscape of the Park and at the same time, discover how technological innovations have emerged into modern architectural design and shape our way towards a greener future.
With the completion of Phase 3, Science Park will become the home to over 600 companies and 15,000 technology talents from local and worldwide, and provides a perfect ecosystem for knowledge transfer, business collaboration and ideas generation.
