Hong Kong, July 9, 2018 – Asia’s fast-growing co-working platform Garage Society welcomes a new initiative this summer – Garage Greens. In partnership with award-winning urban farming pioneer Rooftop Republic, Garage Society invites members of the public to go green and grow your own vegetables right in the heart of Hong Kong on its stunning outdoor terrace of 2,000 sq ft in Wan Chai. (4th floor of Beverly House, 93 – 107 Lockhart Road).
The three-month seasonal programme will debut from August 3 to October 31 with bi-weekly workshops together with Rooftop Republic’s expert farmers every other Friday, to make sure your garden is operating at peak performance. Participants can also access freely and maintain the garden during the weekdays between 10:30am. and 7pm.
While your greens sprout and thrive on the terrace, you’ll be able to find out how to get the most out of the future harvest by taking part in the myriad of events unfolding, namely cooking classes, cocktail creations, film screenings, seminars and workshops about sustainability and food industry. When it comes to harvest time, get inspired with free recipes from JouSun.com – an online farmers’ market and a member of Garage Society – to help you cook your produce right. A farmers’ market is also planned where you’ll be able to show off your seasonal greens, exchange with fellow growers or even sell to hungry attendees.
The 3-month seasonal programme fee is only HK$800. Space is limited so act now: e- mail email@example.com for registration details.
Garage Society believes that helping to bring everyone closer together and promote knowledge-sharing within the community is simply a new way of working.
Join Rooftop Farm to Table: A Cocktail Soirée to celebrate the launch of Garage Greens over live music, organic nibbles, cocktail making demonstration and terrace-to- table herbal cocktails specially created by award-winning mixologist Jay Khan from Mexican-inspired bar COA and wines from Milestone Beverages.
