Cyberport Career Fair 2016: Connecting Technology Talent and Employers

Committed to inspiring the next generation of digital technology talent and nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit, Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited (Cyberport) will organise the annual “Cyberport Career Fair 2016” on 12 March (Saturday) at Cyberport. This year’s career fair will offer over 400 job opportunities from over 60 technology companies ranging from FinTech, EduTech, HealthTech and e-Commerce start-ups to global technology corporations. “With the number of job offerings doubled and an increase of participating companies by 50% at this year’s Cyberport Career Fair, we are thrilled to witness the strong growth of technology sector in Hong Kong,” said Terence Leung, Manager of Cyberport Youth Team. “The exciting 400 plus job opportunities are offered by Cyberport companies within and beyond Cyberport campus. We hope that Cyberport Career Fair can provide a gateway for technology companies and the next generation digital technology talents to come together to enable a stronger growth in the local technology and start-up ecosystem.”

Wide range of job offerings from global corporations to start-ups

At the Fair, participants will have the opportunity to interact with established technology corporations, like Lenovo and Computer And Technologies Holdings, as well as promising start-ups including Air Button, Bull.b Tech, Dragon Law, IT Wake, JOBDOH, Snapask and many more. These companies will offer job opportunities range from entry and senior positions, from Web Developer, Game Artist, Project Manager, Cloud Computing Researcher, Business Development Manager and Senior Sales Director among others.

Apart from permanent job positions, tertiary students with an interest in technology and start-up can explore internship opportunities in the Career Fair. These internship placements include the “Cyberport Digital Tech Internship Programme – Shanghai Stream”, the Cyberport Startup Alumni Association “e+startup” internship programme, which enables interns to work closely with CEOs of start-ups, as well as the “eHealth Record Internship Programme” which involves working in the health informatics profession on various eHealth Record related projects by different technology vendors that supports public and private health care providers. 

Comprehensive programme to assist job search

To enable participants to identify the right opportunities, the Hong Kong Wireless Technology Industry Association will be conducting a Career Forum on various topics, including:“10 Reasons You Should Work at a Start-up” and “Creating Both Startup and Impact” and more topics, providing career advice to participants.
