  • Ratings and reviews platform allowing parents to have their say on different education providers

Hong Kong – 16 August 2017
Following a highly successful crowdfunding campaign earlier this year, Whizpa has just launched Hong Kong’s first bilingual education review website. Featuring more than 5,000 service providers, whizpa.com is building a community of parents and service providers who aim to enrich kids’ lives through a broad variety of activities and educational opportunities.
From surfing to rock-climbing, creative writing to coding – there is no shortage of things for kids to do in Hong Kong. However, parents are often unsure where to turn. A recent survey conducted by Whizpa found that 85% of parents have asked their friends for recommendations when looking for a suitable activity or class for their child. whizpa.com lets parents easily search for providers covering more than 400 different topics. With Whizpa’s consolidated platform, parents can find learning centres, schools, education consultants, retailers, entertainment venues, holiday camps, recreation clubs, charities and healthcare providers – all catering to kids across different age groups, and across all 18 districts of Hong Kong. Reviews on whizpa.com given by those who have had direct experience with listed providers will help parents make more informed decisions about what’s best for their children.

“Finding a school or activity that suits a child well is not easy – parents have to consider factors like the quality of teachers, curriculum, location, price and type of activity. Each child requires a different approach as they have different interests and personalities.” says whizpa.com founder Jennifer Chin. “Here at Whizpa, we aim to provide an open platform for parents who can have their say through reviews and ratings on different education providers in Hong Kong.”

whizpa.com has also been very enthusiastically received by service providers, who can list their businesses free of charge. Many established providers such as ESF Schools, ESF Sports, Faust International Youth Theatre, Woodland Pre-Schools, Tutor Time and Kids’ Gallery are looking forward to receiving feedback on the Whizpa platform.
