The first public symposium of the 2017 Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture (Hong Kong) on 5 January 2018

Organized by The Hong Kong Institute of Architects Biennale Foundation, in conjunction with The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA), Hong Kong Institute of Planners and Hong Kong Designers Association, and with Create Hong Kong (CreateHK) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as the lead sponsor, the 2017 Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture (Hong Kong) (UABB(HK) 2017) is officially opened from 12 December 2017 to 11 February 2018. During the exhibition, a series of community events such as symposiums, talks and guided tours will take place. The first symposium will be held on 5 January 2018 for the public discussing “How Technology will shape the future Built Environment?”.

IT is impacting every sector of life. In the building industry, technology has provided professionals with more freedom and aids in design, visualization and planning. Apart from these, technology is bringing new patterns of uses, new building types, and new ways of procurement and is redefining the meaning of “location” in real estate.

This symposium attempts to give an update on the latest technological scenes in the building industry, and bring professionals together to discuss and exchange with the public on hot topics related to how technology impacts architecture and real estate. Free admission.
